"Reading and Prediction"

The I chose book for practicing reading skills is called "In Cold Blood". In the beginning, by just staring at the cover, I could predict that this story must being set in a suburban, somewhere called "Holcomb". The next step, I read the tittle of the first chapter where says "The Last To See Them Alive". The first ten pages were describing their appearances, jobs, educations, and brief backgrounds. So, I think the tittle gives the clue that this is the last time when the narrator see them alive, which means these people are going to be dead soon. I kind of have a sense of this is a good detective fiction, but based on true story.

I read that book before and I also think that the first chapter and the book's title gave a good hint about what will happen to the family and their fate. In the later chapters, it will switch scenes frequently, therefore it is possible that it will become a little confusing.

By the way, I've also watched the movie, and it left deep impression on me.
